NBC's Biggest Loser Champion reveals the simple tweaks to your diet and daily activity that will ignite your fat burning furnace.

Effective weight control has become a real hot button issue for many people in this country. There are so many different programs out there you could probably try a new one every week and still not get through them all in 10 years. It is difficult to know where to turn to find effective fat burning diets because everyone claims that theirs is the best. While many programs are effective, they may not be right for you. With that being said, there are a few things you should look for in fat burning diets before starting any particular program.

All effective fat burning diets should include some sort of diet management system. I am not talking about the programs that force you to buy their food. These can only help you as long as you keep buying their products. By the time that you reach your goal weight, you will probably be astonished at the amount of money you have spent. Not only that but you still really have not been trained in how to do your own grocery shopping and prepare your own meals. A weight management system that does not include a fitness regimen is simply cheating you out of your time and money.

No one is saying that you have to be a marathon runner or competitive bodybuilder, but all effective fat burning diets will include some form of exercise. To achieve the optimum results your fitness program should include resistance training and aerobic exercise. A support system is not necessarily mandatory, but you will most likely see better results with one. This may come in the form of a personal trainer, weight loss counselor, or even just a workout buddy. You can certainly do this on your own, but sometimes a little help can make all of the difference between achieving your goal and not seeing the results you are hoping for.
