We Are Now Living Longer So Age-Related Sight Issues Are Becoming More Common Place

The human eye is made up of the LENS that collects and focuses light to the RETINA at the back of the eye, the PUPIL that determines how much light is let into the eye and the CORNEA is the protective tissue that covers the front of the eye. These part of the eye and many others I have not mentioned work as a team to collect light to the back of the eye and to the brain for interpretation before we can actually appreciate what we have seen. Any damage in one of these important eye components can completely or partially impair eye vision. One fundamental cause of bad vision is too much exposure of strong light to the eyes. Today, the television is accounting for serious eye defects and I will share three reasons why too much watch of the television can damage your vision.

Strong light from the TV: Watching the television is enough exposure of the eyes to a constant light source. Strong light from the television can cause damage to the cornea as well as the lens. In most cases, you can feel like there is sand in the eyes and constant pain when eyes encounter some light of particular wavelengths. Steady Distance to the Television Screen: In our homes, television addicts have their seats that no one else dares to sit on them. They have established a distance within which their eyes can see and they fix their eyes within this distance for more than half of the day every day of their life. The eyes become used to this-this distance and less capable of appreciating objects from a distance further than their television sets. These individuals later in life suffer from short or long sighted conditions when they finally become free from their addiction

Different Light Intensities to the Eyes Within a Matter of Seconds: The eyes have been designed with a very strong potential to pick up different wavelengths but with the rapid advancement of technology, various television programs are using lights with very high intensities to improve the quality of their programs. This is by concentration strong light of several wavelengths within a program thereby challenging the eyes beyond the limit of a function. Too much exposure of the eye to different light intensities mounts too much pressure to eyes and can impair vision by destroying either the cornea, lens or pupil of the eye.

The importance of having good eyes and a perfect sight cannot be overruled in the life of any person. Eye problems and ailments are very common among many individuals which if overlooked and left untreated for long can cause serious defects like vision impairment. Many people due to the high cost of glasses and eye examinations often move a step back in the tight economic scenario that is predominant currently. Nevertheless, today there are many centers out there that offer free eye exam coupons to help all save huge on those eye examinations that can otherwise take a toll of your budget. One such name in this regard is the Walmart vision center apart from this there are others that offer eye examination coupons like Pearle Vision Eye Exam Coupons and LensCrafters Eye Examination Coupons alongside many others helping you save a bit of money on this essential expenditure of your life.
